IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT USING CHLORINE DIOXIDE TO TREAT COVID-19: Scientists have recently realized that COVID-19 (as well as many respiratory infections) need to be treated in 2 phases. Phase 1 takes place during the first 2-3 days of acute infection when symptoms are not that severe. During this initial phase of infection, treatments involving Reactive Oxygen Species medicines like Chlorine Dioxide are appropriate and beneficial for lowering the viral load. Chlorine dioxide, also known as CDS, MMS, or Miracle Mineral Solution/Supplement, is used to treat a wide variety of infectious and degenerative diseases. In treating cancer, the substance is able to either target and kill cancer cells (when necessary), or even cause cancer cells to revert back into normal, healthy cells in some cases. Cancer patients who aren’t working with chemotherapy or other pharmaceutical drugs also often combine chlorine dioxide with dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) to create an even more powerful treatment protocol. Before continuing onward, it’s important to make a distinction between 2 methods of preparation/administration of CDS/MMS. Many people today prepare Chlorine Dioxide Solution (CDS) in advance rather than combining the activator and the sodium chlorite for each dose. They combine the sodium chlorite with the activator, add water, and then store the mixture in a cool, dark place for later use. While some people do have success using this system, we do NOT recommend this method to our clients. Rather, we recommend instead that people follow Jim Humble’s system for using chlorine dioxide, which involves making each dose immediately before taking it. Jim Humble refers to CDS as “Miracle Mineral Solution”, or MMS, and he advocates that patients mix each dose of CDS / MMS at the time when they intend to consume it. When you store CDS for later use, it can become inert and ineffective. In fact, it starts to become less effective as a medicine within only 30 minutes after it is first mixed. So, for best results at treating major diseases like COVID-19 or cancer, combine the sodium chlorite with the activator each time that you intend to take a dose.
Detailed Information about CDS / MMS
Chlorine dioxide is a gas produced when a 28% sodium chlorite solution is combined (at home, in a 1:1 ratio) with an acid activator (either citric acid or hydrochloric acid / HCl) in the preparation of MMS / CDS. The chlorine dioxide gas remains trapped inside the liquid for about 30 minutes after it is prepared. During this time, the MMS / CDS can be administered transdermally through the skin (ideally by combining it with DMSO), it can be consumed orally by simply drinking the water with the chlorine dioxide (with or without DMSO), it can be used as a douche for women’s health, or it can even be used in an enema (NOTE: NEVER put DMSO in an enema). MMS / CDS is easy to prepare at home with the proper materials, and its various administration methods make it a versatile treatment option.The gas produced by MMS / CDS in combination with water (and DMSO, if you decide to add DMSO to the mixture) consists of small quantities of chlorine dioxide that will damage and kill pathogens, viruses, bacteria, nano-microbes, cancer cells, and other unhealthy cells and toxic particles in the body without doing any harm to healthy human cells. How to Administer Chlorine Dioxide Solution / Miracle Mineral Solution
Jim Humble, the man who developed MMS as a medicinal agent, recommends that patients who plan to follow the MMS/CDS protocol at home do so with great care and study. We agree with this recommendation; while MMS/CDS is a very flexible and safe medicine to use at home for a wide range of health problems, it does require some study and attention to detail in order for it to work successfully as a medicine. Our 3-book series on MMS/CDS and supportive medicines that combine well with this ROS medicine to complete a treatment protocol explores the various uses of this medicine and details the correct way of using CDS as a medicinal treatment.When I take MMS or give it to my family, I decide how much to take based on how sick I think we are. For illnesses that involve fevers, I do a revised version of Jim Humble’s Protocol 6-and-6 and generally take an adult dose of 6-8 activated drops (activated for 1 minute) with 18 to 24 drops of DMSO added to the water immediately before drinking it. I administer this dose to myself or my family members once per hour for two consecutive hours and then I wait 12-24 hours and administer one more dose either the next morning or that evening. After those initial 3 doses, I evaluate whether I (or my family member) is feeling better or worse and typically start administering 3 activated drops (with 9 drops of DMSO) hourly until the illness subsides. But first-time users of MMS should start slowly and observe how their body reacts to the CDS / MMS. If you are very ill with a disease like COVID-19, Long COVID, cancer or malaria, it’s essential that your body detoxifies quickly as you kill the offending pathogens in order to avoid an uncomfortable detox reaction. Consider using a plain water enema whenever you take MMS / CDS to speed up the process of detoxification, in addition to at least 1 coffee enema per day at a time when you haven’t taken MMS for a while.
COVID-19 Note: If you take MMS / CDS to treat COVID-19, using an enema to detox the body quickly is wise because the most severe forms of this pathogenic infection involve hypoxemia, which may actually be related to liver issues and a dilation of capillaries in the lungs. Doing enemas with either clean, filtered water, water with baking soda (to raise your pH levels) or organic coffee (which can also raise your pH levels) can give your liver a boost and decrease the risk of hypoxemia.
MMS / CDS Recipe
Below, the basic procedure for producing chlorine dioxide at home is outlined:-
- MMS is made by combining a 28% sodium chlorite solution with an acid activator. There are 3 main acid activators: 10% citric acid solution, 50% citric acid solution, and hydrochloric acid (HCl).
- The 10% citric acid solution is combined with the sodium chlorite in a 5:1 ratio (i.e. to make 5 drops of activated chlorine dioxide solution / CDS, one would combine 5 drops of sodium chlorite solution with 25 drops of 10% citric acid OR freshly squeezed lemon/lime juice).
- MMS is made by combining a 28% sodium chlorite solution with an acid activator. There are 3 main acid activators: 10% citric acid solution, 50% citric acid solution, and hydrochloric acid (HCl).
- NOTE: Store-bought lemon and lime juice may have extra added ingredients that can interfere with the creation of chlorine dioxide. It’s crucial that, if you must use lemon/lime juice, you only use freshly squeezed lemon/lime juice in order for the treatment to work properly.

- The 50% citric acid solution and the HCl should be combined with sodium chlorite in a 1:1 ratio (i.e. to make 5 drops of activated CDS, you will combine 5 drops of 50% citric acid or HCl with 5 drops of sodium chlorite solution).
- After adding the drops of activator and sodium chlorite to a glass container (MMS must be prepared in a GLASS container), mix/swirl the drops together for 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds, add 3-8 ounces of water into the glass with the activated MMS drops. If you’re taking the medicine internally, drink the whole glass of water immediately. Note that MMS/CDS can also be administered to the skin, in a bath, or in an enema or douche. Our book details the various protocols for using and applying MMS/CDS in different scenarios; this section is only intended to give a brief overview of the process of making and using this medicine.
- Depending on your individual needs, you may choose to add DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide) to the chlorine dioxide + water solution, if desired, to make it stronger. Add the DMSO to the CDS / MMS in a 1:3 ratio. In other words, if you make 1 activated drop of CDS/MMS, you’ll add 3 drops of DMSO to the mix to make it stronger and to ensure that it goes where it needs to go in the body. So, for 2 drops of activated MMS, you’ll add 6 drops of DMSO; for 3 drops of activated MMS, you’ll add 9 drops of DMSO, and so on.
How to Make MMS / CDS at Home from Sodium Chlorite
In the United States it isn’t possible to find a product that’s labeled as Miracle Mineral Solution / MMS. It is possible, however, to find chlorine dioxide marketed as a water purification agent (it comes as a kit that contains an acid activator + 28% sodium chlorite solution). To make Miracle Mineral Solution, you’ll simply add 1 drop of acid activator to 1 drop of sodium chlorite, as described above. Jim Humble’s website provides instructions for how to make your own MMS at home at this link using sodium chlorite powder (as well as information about how to find high quality sodium chlorite that’s safe for human consumption) if you can’t find a suitable supplier where you’re located.MMS / CDS Detoxification Reaction
The consumption of chlorine dioxide should be gradually built up over a period of time by starting with a low-dose and moving to a higher, therapeutic dose. Without this slow build up, chlorine dioxide can cause nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting from its harsh effects on the stomach and the strong die-off reaction that it causes. A die-off reaction is also known as a detoxification reaction. A detoxification reaction happens when a pathogen is killed off quickly and the body then has a build-up of dead pathogens and toxins leftover that must be excreted by the kidneys and filtered by the liver. A detox reaction often feels a lot like influenza, though it goes away quickly, as soon as the body purges the pathogen and toxins that the pathogen leaves behind.It’s important to understand, then, what a detoxification reaction is and what to expect during “detox” when using a powerful medicine like chlorine dioxide. Most people go through a detox when they take MMS, but it’s important to be able to “pace” the rate at which you detox so that you can remain consistent in taking the medicine; ideally, you should feel better, not worse. The goal is to increase the Miracle Mineral Solution/ Chlorine Dioxide dose to kill pathogens, but to do this process in sync with the organs that must filter out the debris. If you attempt to kill pathogens/unhealthy cells too quickly, you may feel sicker than if you took lower doses.
Therefore, MMS/CDS experts recommend starting with ½ a drop of chlorine dioxide on the first day of use, or even a ¼ drop. To do this, you’ll follow the Starting Procedure, which we outline in this article. Essentially, you’ll make 1 drop of chlorine dioxide, then drink only ½ or ¼ of the glass of water (throw away the rest of the water, since the treatment will lose its effectiveness after 30 minutes). If the patient reacts well to the treatment within the first thirty minutes, six hours, and then 24 hours after this initial dose, they may increase the dose to 1 drop the second day, and continue increasing the dose day-by-day until they reach an adequate therapeutic dose of the CDS medicine.
Though we talked above about taking a strong dose for feverish illnesses, I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you already have some experience working with MMS / CDS and you know how it affects you. It isn’t usually recommended to build up the dosage by more than one drop per day if you’re new at using this type of medicine. If the patient reacts acceptably to the treatment, the goal is to continue increasing the dosage by one drop every day (taking hourly doses) until the desired dosage is achieved. A common recommendation is to take 3 drops of CDS/MMS every hour for 8 hours every day for at least 2 weeks or until the illness is gone, depending on the patient’s individual health situation. That being said, if you or a loved one were to be infected with a serious illness like malaria or rabies, or even in cases of food poisoning, before having work with the MMS medicine, it may be wise to attempt the larger doses of this medicine since the benefits far outweigh the costs, in this case. Large doses of MMS in this context may provoke an intense detoxification reaction (which may be quite uncomfortable), but it’s important to remember that this medicine is quite safe and is practically inactive within 30 minutes to 1 hour after taking it. In cases of fast-moving, potentially deadly pathogenic infections, it’s often better to risk having an uncomfortable detox than to let the infection linger in your body.
What to Avoid While Taking MMS / CDS
Patients taking CDS / MMS should avoid the following items 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after taking the chlorine dioxide treatment. How Chlorine Dioxide Works
Chlorine dioxide’s volatility and its tendency to easily accept electrons allow it to effectively target and attack pathogens, cancer cells, and toxins while leaving healthy cells untouched. Pathogens are electron donors (they give away electrons easily), so when a chlorine dioxide ion reaches a pathogen, it can take up to 5 of the pathogen’s electrons, thus resulting in a microscopic semi-explosion that ultimately destroys the pathogen. Chlorine dioxide only activates upon contact with acidic, positively charged ions in the body, meaning that healthy cells with a pH of 7 or above are safe from the effects. Cancer cells, therefore, are targeted and eliminated by CDS because of their acidity. It should be noted that chlorine dioxide itself is an oxidizer, and not itself the “cure” (cancer patients, for example, will also need to work with nutrient medicines like iodine, vitamin B17, and vitamin K2, among other treatments, in order to restore health to the body and prevent cancer from returning). Chlorine dioxide solution is a Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) medicine, a unique category of medicines that includes not only CDS, but also hydrogen peroxide, ozone therapy, and Artemisia annua, all of which work similarly to target cancer cells, pathogens, and other toxins present in the body. CDS and other ROS medicines effectively damage and kill harmful cells, thus cleansing the body of elements that are causing sickness and subsequently allowing the body’s healthy cells to be able to do their jobs properly in helping the body to cleanse and heal itself. Be aware that taking edible clay can be extremely drying to the body, though, and as such, you should combine this treatment with the use of sea water to super-hydrate the body. Taking doses of sea water will complement and enhance the effects of chlorine dioxide solution.Catholic Bishops Ask for Authorization to Use MMS or CDS to Cure COVID-19
According to an article in “Crux: Taking the Catholic Pulse”, one-third of the Catholic bishops in Ecuador asked President Lenin Moreno to authorize use of MMS / CDS to treat COVID-19 as an alternative medicine. Much of the rhetoric/propaganda online about CDS talks about how it is “bleach” and should never be consumed internally, however, the irony of this statement is that the vast majority of people have consumed it already as a substance that’s used to purify water (buried in my luggage, for example, I have some chlorine dioxide tablets that I found leftover from many years ago. I purchased them for a long trip through India as a water sterilization option before I knew anything about this substance as a treatment for diseases like COVID-19).In the letter from the Ecuador bishops, they said that the restrictions on the use of MMS/CDS “[do] not favor the health of the sick, on the contrary, [they] harm it, preventing alternative medicines, such as chlorine dioxide, from being taken into account” as possible alternative treatment for COVID-19 and other illnesses. Apparently, the Ministry of Health in Ecuador has been know to harass employees, doctors, and small distributors of the MMS medicine (this sounds familiar–the FDA in the United States also harasses anyone who tries to sell CDS or educate people about how to use it, yet, they can’t get rid of CDS because it’s so important for water purification.). Read the “Crux” article, but be aware that the author spins the content and still refers to the MMS and CDS as a “bleaching agent” rather than as a “water purification agent”. If you’re worried about consuming CDS internally, consider starting first by preparing it according to the water purification instructions on the product label. Increase the amount/dose of MMS or CDS in the solution very slowly and incrementally as you feel comfortable doing so.
Remember, water purification tablets and drops must be used properly (see above information about preparation and use of MMS / CDS). Do NOT take the tablets without properly preparing/activating them into a CDS solution!
