How to Combine Vitamin B12 Powder with DMSO

DMSO may enhance the absorption of vitamin B12 when it’s taken orally. While most of the time vitamin B12 is not well-absorbed in its oral supplement form (in contrast with when it is eaten in foods or injected/given intravenously), DMSO can help carry the vitamin B12 deeper into the body directly to where it’s needed. Because of this, the combination of vitamin B12 and DMSO may be valuable for the treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency disorders, particularly in cases where a person is unable to obtain a vitamin B12 injection.

Some of these vitamin B12 deficiency disorders include:

DMSO can cross the blood-brain barrier. This means that it is not restricted to any one part of the body. When it’s taken internally, it can be absorbed into the bloodstream (along with medicines that it is administered with) and taken to every part of the body, including into the brain. Vitamin B12 is best absorbed as a supplement when it is injected directly into the bloodstream (such as with an intramuscular injection or intravenous treatment). When administered with DMSO, an oral vitamin B12 supplement can be absorbed into the bloodstream more readily.

DMSO and vitamin B12 can also be administered topically. Again, since DMSO is absorbed directly into the bloodstream through all tissues, it can cross through the skin and into the blood, taking the vitamin B12 with it. One testimonial by Dr. David Gregg describes a protocol using DMSO with vitamin B12 tablets (always make sure that the tablets are as pure as possible with very little filler, or use a liquid B12 supplement that is free of toxic compounds):

  1. Put 10 tablets of a 1000 mcg vitamin B12 supplement (or use a pure powder form of methylcobalamin) in a 2 ounce dropper bottle. Crush them a bit if you can before putting them in the bottle.
  2. Fill the 2 ounce dropper bottle with 99.99% DMSO.
  3. Allow the tablets to dissolve in the DMSO. It may take a few days.
  4. Once the tablets have dissolved, take 1 dropperful and rub it into your skin (make sure that you’ve washed your skin with chemical-free soap like Dr. Bronner's and that you haven’t applied any lotions, perfumes, or other similar products to the area of skin that you apply this mixture to)
  5. Administer this vitamin B12 + DMSO mixture for 3-4 days or until you start to feel better. After that, apply approximately once every month or on an as-needed basis.

Individuals who are older than 50 and people who have been vegan, strictly vegetarian, on medications, or who are experiencing symptoms of a vitamin B12 deficiency may benefit from following this DMSO protocol regularly. Always be sure to combine vitamin B12 supplementation with a B-complex vitamin and a healthy diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, as well as healthy animal products, in order to ensure that the vitamin B12 can be utilized successfully in the body.

You may also add 12 tablets of folic acid (vitamin B9) with 800mcg each and a teaspoon of moringa powder to the above mixture described. Moringa is a powerful plant that naturally contains high amounts of nearly all the essential vitamins and minerals as well as numerous other compounds, while folic acid works intimately with vitamin B12 in the body and is therefore required in order for the vitamin B12 to actually be able to do its job. After the initial 3-4 day treatment period, administer this once every 2 weeks or once a month to restore energy levels and treat deficiency-based health issues like those listed above.
