Bitter Kola Nut: Herbal Cure for Diabetes

Garcinia kola has the ability to regrow beta cells in the pancreas while hyper-nourishing cells that have become debilitated as a result of insulin resistance.
Garcinia kola / Cola acuminata / bitter kola nut works as a panacea and a cure-all, in part, through its antidiabetic action. Antidiabetic action in herbal medicine, after all, might be conceptualized as the super-nourishment of human cells. Of course, bitter kola nut also balances reproductive hormones, which adds to this plant’s powerful activity as a cure-all, but if you’re looking for a straightforward path into the world of diabetes cures, the bitter kola nut is a good place to start.

Bitter kola nut lowers blood sugar levels but scientists don’t yet know exactly how it works. That’s not surprising given that scientific studies are typically funded with the goal of discovering plant-based substances that can be repurposed and synthesized in a lab and then sold at a profit. In other words, the goal is not to understand the plant itself and how it works, but rather to discover substances that interact with human biology in a particular way (in conventional medicine the goal is to treat the disease but not to cure it, as this model is most profitable for Big Pharma).

Some scientists have suggested that Garcinia kola may lower alpha-glucosidase and alpha-amylase activity, but additionally, research has indicated that kolaviron may also be able to regrow beta cells in the pancreas to cure diabetes type 1 similar to Ayahuasca, Lemon Balm, and Passionflower. If a patient can regrow damaged beta cells in the pancreas, they can cure any type of diabetes.

One of the substances that’s found in bitter kola nut that has been studied most intensively by scientists is kolaviron. In addition to its curative effects on diabetes, kolaviron, a substance found in the bitter kola nut, has the ability to reduce secondary complications associated with diabetes including:
  • Reduction in liver toxicity
  • Reduction in kidney toxicity
  • Reduction in heart toxicity.
  • Nerve injury
  • Movement disorders

In some areas of Africa, macerated bitter kola nut seeds are used to treat diabetes and scientific studies have indicated that this is a legitimate course of action. In other words, the scientific studies have found that traditional uses for this herbal medicine support the final results that people have been claiming to experience in practice while using this herb. Garcinia kola strengthens the immune system while regulating hormones like prolactin that directly interact with insulin levels in the body

Garcinia kola to Heal the Liver, Gallbladder, and Pancreas

Garcinia kola acts to heal the liver in powerful ways such that the liver can play a more balanced role in regulating blood sugar levels naturally. The liver is often overlooked in terms of the role that it plays in the development and maintenance of diabetes, but generally, it’s beneficial for diabetes patients to work to the heal the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas, as one organ because of how they work together and how they are attached to each other anatomically through the common bile duct.

Detoxification of the liver and gallbladder is always important in the treatment of diabetes. In addition to working with Garcinia kola, we often recommend that our health coaching clients also do coffee enemas daily or even twice or three times per day for dire situations in which patients need to produce fast results.

The Hulda Clark Gallbladder Cleanse is also recommended in some cases to jumpstart liver and gallbladder health along with enzyme therapy.

If you are aware of some form of trauma that you haven’t fully processed and released, be aware that trauma can exacerbate liver problems and also make diseases like diabetes worse. Patients with cancer who develop cachexia / wasting must work quickly to release trauma from the autonomic nervous system to help the pancreas heal. The need for this type of emotional-spiritual healing is best explained and demonstrated through Ayahuasca as an herbal remedy for diabetes and also cancer.

Patients who wish to work with Ayahuasca for diabetes often begin with Garcinia kola therapy in the lead up to Ayahuasca ceremonies because Garcinia kola has a generally balancing impact on the body that can improve health in a general way. But trauma-informed therapies like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing / EMDR can also be used to release trauma in patients who are not willing or able to access Ayahuasca for diabetes in addition to Garcinia kola. Further, the DreamLight.app can be used for brain entrainment from any location in the world with Internet to release trauma that disrupts autonomic nervous system as well as liver, gallbladder, and pancreas function.

Garcinia kola to Reduce Blood Sugar Levels Naturally

Chronically high blood sugar levels cause damage throughout the body by causing chronic cellular irritation. Garcinia kola treatment can help reduce blood sugar levels naturally and subsequently the cellular irritation and inflammation that chronically high blood sugar can cause. Studies have shown that it takes approximately four weeks for this herb to demonstrate what it can do at low doses to control blood sugar levels naturally.

It’s worth noting once again, that Garcinia kola is an antiviral and antibacterial medicine that can be used to kill pathogens that have colonized the liver to produce autoimmune diseases such as diabetes. Most, if not all, autoimmune diseases are well studied in certain circles of scientists for their correlations with colonizing pathogens that can cause low-level infection and the appearance of autoimmunity (when in fact, the immune system is trying to overcome a low-level infection and not attacking its own tissues after all). Diabetes is just one autoimmune disease that has correlations with a variety of disease-causing pathogens that often colonize the liver, the pancreas, the gallbladder, or all of these organs to create chronic, ongoing disease states including diabetes. Garcinia kola is known for its ability to heal the liver specifically, as well as the pancreas, organs that are most often colonized by pathogens in those with diabetes.

Garcinia kola and Curcumin Combination Treatment for Diabetes

Some scientists have combined curcumin, an anti-inflammatory substance found in turmeric, with Garcinia kola to prevent sensory nerve injury and loss due to diabetes. Administer Garcinia cola at a dose of 200-500 mg / kg body weight in divided doses daily with 2000 mg (also in 3-4 divided doses) daily of curcumin. Note that curcumin is most powerful when it is administered with fats and oils. Consider drinking Golden Milk, an Ayurvedic medicine that includes milk as a fatty substance and other antidiabetic herbs like cinnamon through the day while also consuming Garcinia kola “tea” at the recommended dose with lemon or lime juice added to it, in order to release the medicinal substances in this herb.

Garcinia kola Dose as an Herbal Cure for Diabetes

An ethanol / alcohol extract of Garcinia kola at a dose of 500 mg / kg body weight was able to lower blood sugar levels by 49.70% after only 7 days of treatment.   At a dose of only 100 mg / kg body weight daily (a fairly low dose of bitter kola nut), animals with diabetes had significantly lower blood sugar levels and 66% lower LDL levels than untreated animals. At higher doses, blood sugar levels were reduced by 50% after only one week of treatment with the bitter kola nut.   Doses that have been used in animal studies for the herbal treatment of diabetes range from 100 to 800 mg / kg body weight of bitter kola seed extract. For the treatment of diabetes, 10-15 grams of Garcinia kola can be made like a tea that is allowed to simmer for 10-20 minutes with a teaspoon of lemon or lime juice. For humans, dosing is generally between 200-500 mg / kg body weight daily.   Garcinia kola can be safely administered during pregnancy as an herbal remedy for gestational diabetes as well as type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
