Mucuna as an Herb for Parkinson’s Disease, Lewy Body Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Other Types of Dementia

People with Parkinson’s disease often have degeneration of dopamine receptors happening in the brain and body. Mucuna and the supportive nutrients will not harm the receptors and, in fact, may help the brain rebuild dopamine receptors. If you have a degenerative disease like Parkinson’s or Lewy Body Dementia (as well as Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia), the whole Mucuna bean as a supplement along with the supportive nutrients can halt or slow the progression of this disease. Be sure to also work with a reactive oxygen species medicine like Chlorine Dioxide Solution / Miracle Mineral Supplement, ozone treatments, hyperbaric oxygen treatments, or food grade hydrogen peroxide to address low-level infection in the gut that be the root cause of the dementia symptoms.

While those with an addiction are flooding dopamine receptors and then producing an artificial drought that kills the receptors, in dementia, there are other things that are likely causing the dopamine receptors to die. While the Mucuna pruriens protocol can help your neurons heal and regrow dopamine receptors, you’ll need to discover and then get rid of the underlying cause of the disease to overcome it permanently.

Be sure to learn a bit about organophosphate exposure and Parkinson’s / Lewy Body Dementia as something that can be treated and avoided if this is the underlying cause. Our book Root Cause: Common Environmental Toxins and How to Protect Yourself from Them includes information to help you cure dementia.

Read more here about the use of methylene blue, N-Acetyl-Cysteine, and vitamin C as adjunct treatments for Parkinson’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Be sure to read about dimethylsulfoxide / DMSO and studies that have shown that DMSO can halt the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. DMSO is a powerful over-the-counter brain-healing and nervous system healing treatment. DMSO can be administered in tandem with reactive oxygen species medicines like Chlorine Dioxide Solution / Miracle Mineral Solution to potentiate these medicines and also heal nervous system tissue at the same time. Be sure to take some time to learn the basics of how to use DMSO safely at home and what to expect from this medicine at different doses before you get started.

Do EDTA chelation therapy with patients who have dementia to remove heavy metals that may be causing or contributing to dementia symptoms.

Patients with dementia should also take an Inositol - Choline supplement (1000 mg) daily and also work with low-dose nicotine patches (7 - 7.5 mg) daily on a “3-days-on, 1-day-off” rotation. Amanita muscaria microdosing can also reduce tremors in patients with Parkinson’s disease. If you’re unfamiliar with Amanita and nicotine treatment for serious disease, be sure to read more about how these medicines can clear out nicotinic and muscarinic receptors in the cholinergic / acetylcholine-system of the body for permanent healing effects.

Finally, if you or a loved one wishes to cure dementia and get rid of dementia symptoms, be sure to learn about vitamin B12 deficiency as one of the leading, treatable causes of dementia that doctors often miss. Note that we have worked with clients who have gotten two different lab workups done to find out if they have a vitamin B12 deficiency and we’ve found that vitamin B12 is often misrepresented in lab results (in other words, you can’t trust the lab). Vitamin B12 will do no harm if it is administered to a patient, but it can cause a patient with dementia to almost immediately (within 24 hours) snap out of their dementia symptoms if vitamin B12 deficiency is the cause. The longer the deficiency is there, the more damage is done to a patient, so our advice is to not seek out lab results regarding vitamin B12 levels, but rather demand that a patient receive a vitamin B12 shot (and that they receive at least 1000 mcg for 5 consecutive days) if they have dementia symptoms as this will do no harm, but it could save the patient’s life.

As in situations involving addiction, Mucuna pruriens will not harm the dopamine receptors and in fact, Mucuna is essential in “watering the dopamine receptors” for those with dementia to help the patient keep dopamine receptors healthy until the root cause of the problem can be addressed.

Dementia requires that people work with trauma-informed therapies like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing / EMDR or craniosacral therapy (if EMDR is not feasible for some reason). Brain entrainment and guided meditation can also be extremely useful and we recommend that people work with a specific pulsed electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) device that will open blood circulation to the brain while simultaneously allowing the user to choose specific brain entrainment patterns for trauma-release (we recommend alpha-theta frequencies). PEMF has a long-history and plenty of scientific research grounding it's use to reduce tremors in Parkinson's disease and improve blood flow to the brain in all types of dementia. Somatic and trauma-informed therapies are essential to overcome dementia.
