Natural Trauma Treatments
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Trauma wreaks havoc on individuals, relationships, and families. Conventional medicine would have us all believe that trauma can’t be resolved and that anyone who experiences trauma must live with the effects for their entire lives. In reality though, there are a number of natural cures for PTSD that are accessible to most people throughout the world. Some of these cures for PTSD can be self-administered at home. Some of these treatments can be administered at home while others might require travel to a clinic. Nonetheless, below we discuss four PTSD cures that are all related in terms of how they are targeting the autonomic nervous system and cranial nerve fibers to reset patients from a fight or flight mode into a rest and digest mode. These treatments are all very different from each other, but they’re all related in terms of their focus. For those who are seeking a true cure for PTSD, start with EMDR and then progress to the other forms of treatment if you hit a roadblock.Don’t give up.
Each time you successfully reset the autonomic nervous system, the brain and body learn something–they learn how to rebalance heightened states of awareness with more relaxed “chill” states. Some people can cure PTSD with one treatment while others need to approach PTSD as a journey and explore all of the treatment options to discover what works best for them. The goal is for the patient to arrive at a place where they can be fully awake, but relaxed and to be able to sleep soundly at night and go into REM healing dream states naturally to maintain the balance.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a natural treatment for PTSD that bypasses the need for drug therapy. This form of treatment has been around for a long time. My personal experience with EMDR is that it is incredibly simple, but incredibly powerful. These days, it’s possible to do EMDR at home using just a computer and headphones. The treatment itself involves watching a ball move back and forth across the screen. The back and forth eye movement causes the eye muscles to push and pull back and forth on the cranial bones via their connection to the skull bones inside the head. The cranial bone alignments are thus readjusted during each session.
Cranial bones and the upper cervical vertebrae move out of alignment when we feel stress, when we experience trauma, and when we have negative thoughts. This misalignment causes the cranial nerves to become pinched which can then lead to poor communication between the mind and the body, so to speak. The autonomic nervous system begins to malfunction and habitual ways of thinking can develop around the pain and misfiring of cranial nerves due to the misalignment of cranial bones and cervical vertebrae. Our brain and body may not be able to process stress or trauma properly which can then lead to PTSD or other forms of mental illness.
EMDR is a type of therapy that works quickly to relieve symptoms of PTSD naturally without drug therapy. This type of PTSD treatment would work well with Craniosacral Therapy for PTSD. EMDR is safe for children as well as for adults.

Psilocybin Therapy
My own personal experience with trauma has led me to the conclusion that psilocybin is one of the best PTSD treatments that you can do at home. Of course, in order to work with psilocybin, you have to be able to get magic mushrooms to either do microdosing or macrodosing or a combination of both of these treatment methods. Though many people are not immediately willing to work with magic mushrooms using a full dose to treat PTSD, a lot of people can handle the idea of doing psilocybin microdosing. Indeed, if you work with online EMDR while also doing psilocybin therapy, PTSD symptoms begin to remit almost immediately. Do be aware however, that often, symptoms feel more uncomfortable (though they don't really worsen) right before you have a breakthrough using psilocybin and EMDR. Psilocybin essentially helps your mind connect back up with your "felt sense" or physical feelings in the body. People with PTSD spend a lot of time being numb, so psilocybin works to release feelings that make your body go into a state of numbness. If you decide to work with psilocybin for PTSD, contact us to set up a pre-mushroom trip debriefing and integrative psychotherapy sessions plus health coaching, which are an important part of using psilocybin for PTSD. Lydian and I have, together, done almost 60 psilocybin macrodosing "trips" and we have experience helping other people get through their trips too. We have done intensive microdosing as a dieta for 6 months ourselves. As such, we have a great deal of experience with this medicine in the treatment of trauma and other health issues.Click here to buy psilocybin microdosing capsules for PTSD.

Craniosacral Therapy for PTSD
Craniosacral therapy is related to EMDR in that both EMDR and craniosacral therapy involve movement of the cranial bones to relieve pressure on cranial nerves. Craniosacral therapy seeks to align the bone tissues that can restrict or pinch autonomic nerves to restore balance to the three branches of the autonomic nervous system. This is a type of therapy that must be performed by a craniosacral therapies. The three branches of the autonomic nervous system are the following:
- Sympathetic Nervous System - Fight or Flight Branch
- Parasympathetic Nervous System
- Rest and Digest / Socialization Branch
- Play Dead Branch
Craniosacral therapy combines well with other therapies to treat symptoms of PTSD naturally. This is an alternative treatment that’s gentle but effective and can be used by both children as well as adults.
Stellate Ganglion Block for PTSD
A stellate ganglion block is a neural therapy procedure that involves an injection of local anesthetic such as procaine or 0.5% ropivacaine into the tissues surrounding the stellate ganglion to inhibit sympathetic nervous system outflow. The stellate ganglion is located in the neck. It’s a bundle of thickened nerve fibers that, when bathed in the anesthetic, cause the autonomic nervous system to switch from fight or flight mode into a parasympathetic rest and digest mode.
The stellate ganglion block procedure takes about 5-10 minutes to perform, but the effects are lasting. Patients receive 1-2 stellate ganglion blocks, usually on the right side of the neck to treat PTSD and get quick results. A number of mental health issues that involve dysregulation of the sympathetic nervous system can be treated using the stellate ganglion block. PTSD is one of the disorders that responds well to this form of treatment.
Scientific studies have been contradictory in terms of whether the stellate ganglion block works to cure PTSD, but that’s common whenever a non-pharmaceutical cure for a disease is introduced. Often, if the cure leads to lasting results that might threaten Big Pharma, new studies are contrived to cover up the results of successful studies. In this way, Big Pharma can protect its own interests while patients continue to believe that no cure exists for disorders like PTSD.
My own experience with Neural Therapy for pain, particularly pain caused by extreme stress is that it can be miraculous. I have received procaine injections for a frozen shoulder that developed during the COVID pandemic when a family member was trapped in Myanmar and my family and I had to come up with an escape plan for said family member and also travel across the planet to rendezvous with him. It was stressful. The level of uncertainty was high. My frozen shoulder developed on my way to Dubai and I worked with absolutely everything I knew about at the time to get rid of the pain. Upon returning to Mexico, I finally sought out Neural Therapy and my frozen shoulder finally “thawed” quickly. The results took shape over the course about 1 week after months of suffering and now I have no problems with it at all. Improvements in symptoms tend to occur within 5 minutes to 24 hours of the initial treatment and even one treatment can cure PTSD, other forms of mental illness, and severe pain. Initial results from treatment typically last 1 month or longer. Repeat treatments are sometimes necessary to retrain the body in its response to stress, but the ultimate goal of astellate ganglion block is to cure PTSD rather than simply treat it using lifelong drug therapy or counseling.
Personally, if I or a loved one suffered from PTSD, I would begin with EMDR therapy and Craniosacral Therapy and if progress using these forms of therapy began to stall, I would then move on to Stellate Ganglion Therapy. I would continue with the EMDR therapy at home for as long as necessary. If the first treatment of Stellate Ganglion Therapy did not produce the effects that I wanted, I’d then move on to Iboga microdosing (see below) or a full Ibogaine session.

Iboga / Ibogaine
Tabernanthe iboga is a plant that grows in Gabon, Africa. Ibogaine is an indole alkaloid found in the Iboga plant. This alkaloid is the secret behind the power of shamanic healing rites held in Gabon. In shamanism, while Ayahuasca is regarded as The Grandmother and a feminine plant spirit, Iboga is regarded as The Grandfather and a masculine plant spirit.Iboga is an extremely important anti-addiction medicine that can work miracles as a cure for fentanyl addiction, but this plant medicine is also famous for its ability to rewire the brain in those with PTSD and mental health issues.
Ibogaine is isolated from the iboga plant and administered at a dose that corresponds to the patient’s weight. Treatment usually takes place with guidance and attention from experienced shaman and/or medical staff.
Studies have shown that ibogaine treatment improves sleep with an emphasis on improving REM sleep. It is a plant medicine that promotes dreaming specifically. REM sleep involves the rapid back and forth eye movement that resembles EMDR, the treatment that began this discussion at the top of the page. During REM sleep, we experience dreams and our bodies experience renewal in part through the adjustment of cranial bones and vertebrae that might be pinching or restricting autonomic nerves as a result of major or minor traumas that we experience throughout the day.
Iboga and ibogaine, once again, as cures for addiction and PTSD, represent a threat to Big Pharma and the psychoactive drug industry. Given the success that this plant medicine has in treating the devastations of addiction and PTSD, one would think that the media would be in a frenzy to cover it and promote it to the public. But, in fact, Iboga and ibogaine are relatively unknown in pop culture and whenever the mainstream media talks about this medicine, they make sure to mention that it isn’t regulated and therefore, patients should be wary.
Personally, however, my own experience with “unregulated” medicine has been extremely positive. Indeed, it has been and continues to be more positive by far than experiences I’ve had with conventional “regulated” medicine. Ayahuasca was literally a lifesaver for me and my family members. Sapito changed the course of our lives dramatically. Kambo has kept us healthy for years. These are all unregulated medicines that I took sitting on the ground in a cave with a curandera in Mexico. These experiences were far from being “regulated”. Nonetheless, they were positive and healing beyond anything I could get at a doctor’s office.
Iboga and ibogaine may not be stringently regulated, but the people that I know who offer Ibogaine are dedicated to their cause. This may not be true for all ibogaine clinics, but for those who work with ibogaine out of passion because of this plant’s ability to change lives, there’s a code of morality and ethics that far surpasses anything you could find in a doctor’s office. So anyone who is considering ibogaine for PTSD should know that despite the lack of “regulations”, ibogaine and iboga treatments tend to take place within a context of care and passion for the work.
For those who can’t obtain a full dose of iboga or ibogaine, microdosing does work in some cases. Children with PTSD or Complex Trauma issues, in particular, might be able to benefit from microdosing iboga / ibogaine.
