Cure Diabetes without Medicine: Moringa oleifera Natural Diabetes Supplement

Glycemic control is a priority in both diabetes as well as pre-diabetes patients. The health complications that are caused by diabetes are all related to the problem of high blood sugar. Though there are a number of prescription drugs that control blood sugar levels, all of them cause undesirable side effects because they’re synthetic and, thus, not able to work fluently with the human body. On the other hand, medicinal plants for diabetes rarely cause side effects, they’re affordable, easy to obtain, and they are calibrated to work with the human body since both plants and humans are carbon-based life forms. Moringa oleifera is a gentle, yet effective and well-studied natural blood sugar control herb that also works as one of several natural diabetes foods that can be integrated into the diet.

Moringa oleifera is an anti-diabetes herb that is native to the sub-Himalayan areas of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. The tree produces pods, known as “drumsticks” that can be prepared as a part of the diet by cooking them in a manner similar to green beans or spinach. In addition to Moringa’s famous work as an anti-diabetic herb, it is also famous as an anticancer herb.  Moringa is an herbal remedy for diabetes that is safe for use during pregnancy, in young children, and in adults.

Moringa, like a number of other herbal cures for diabetes that we’ve talked about here like baobab fruit, bitter melon, and licorice root is also prepared as a food in some parts of the world. The leaves, pods, and seeds can also be eaten as food or as food supplements. This is a nutritionally rich superfood that is ideal for use during pregnancy to prevent gestational diabetes naturally, or simply to treat diseases that are long-standing or resistant to conventional medicines.

Moringa oleifera is one of the most extensively studied plants on the planet in terms of its effects on blood sugar levels. Thirty-three animal studies and eight human studies have been performed to demonstrate that this is an herb that lowers blood sugar naturally while hyper-nourishing the body.

Moringa oleifera Herbal Diabetes Cure

As an herbal remedy for diabetes, Moringa oleifera, is able to lower blood glucose levels naturally, balance blood lipid levels, reduce high blood pressure without drugs, and restore balance to imbalanced reproductive hormones. It is used to treat digestive disorders as well as respiratory problems such as asthma.

Moringa works, in part, by inhibiting amylase and glucosidase activity while increasing insulin secretion and sensitivity in the body. Animal studies indicate that Moringa also increases glucose uptake in the liver and muscle tissues, while inhibiting glucose absorption in the intestines. It also diminishes gluconeogenesis in the liver.

Moringa oleifera Herbal Diabetes Combination with Azadirachta indica

Some studies have combined the plant known as Moringa oleifera with the seeds of Azadirachta indica (also known as Neem) for diabetes treatment. Of these two herbs, Moringa is considered to be more effective than neem, but some patients might opt to use both as part of a combined herbal treatment option since they work well together.

For diabetes, Moringa leaves work to reduce blood sugar and blood lipid levels without causing any side effects. The plant appears to work by inhibiting alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase activity. It also increases glucose uptake in the muscles and liver while inhibiting the absorption of glucose in the intestines. In the liver, Moringa also functions to decrease gluconeogenesis while increasing insulin sensitivity and secretion.

One study examined 55 individuals (36 men and 19 women) with type 2 diabetes mellitus. In the study, participants were given 8 grams of Moringa oleifera powder and 6 grams of Azadirachta indica seed powder daily in 3 divided doses. In other words, the participants were given 2.6 grams of Moringa with 2 grams of Azadirachta indica seeds three times per day for 40 days. The Moringa + Azadirachta study participants were compared to a control group of 9 diabetic patients who received no treatment. In comparison with this control group, the study participants who received Moringa and Azadirachta experienced a significant reduction in their fasting blood glucose levels as well as a significant reduction in their blood glucose levels following meals. The study participants also saw a reduction in the average blood lipid levels. The control group experienced none of these effects.

Studies into how Moringa works as an herbal remedy for diabetes have demonstrated that this herb works through several mechanisms of action to cure diabetes naturally. Azadirachta indica / Neem also works to lower blood sugar naturally, balance lipid levels, reduce oxidative stress, regulate carbohydrate digestion, improve glucose tolerance and the cellular uptake of glucose. This diabetes herb treatment thus, also works through several mechanisms of action.

Neem is a powerful contraceptive herb for both men and women, so it is not appropriate to use for people who are trying to conceive. Women who are pregnant also shouldn’t take neem because the plant has some abortifacient effects. But for other individuals who wish to work with a natural herbal painkiller with antidiabetic effects, Neem is an excellent choice. Neem is also an herbal remedy for hypertension so for those who are looking for a natural treatment for diabetes and high blood pressure, neem works with both of these health issues at the same time.
