Follow the supplementation schedule outlined below for best results (links are to product pages for items we recommend for optimum success with treating a nicotine addiction): Morning (between 7am and 10am) -
Noon (between 11am and 1pm) -

  • Multivitamin
  • Amino acid supplement (take 30 minutes before or after other supplements in this section)
  • NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) - 1000mg
  • 5-HTP – 100mg*** OR St. John’s Wort – 300mg***
Afternoon (between 3pm and 5pm) -
  • Mucuna pruriens - 1500mg
  • NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) - 1000mg
  • 5-HTP – 100mg*** OR St. John’s Wort – 300mg***
Evening (between 6pm and 8pm) -
  • Mucuna pruriens - 1500mg
  • NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) - 1000mg
  • Phosphatidylcholine - Take 1-2 capsules daily
  • 5-HTP – 100mg*** OR St. John’s Wort – 300mg***
Before sleep -
Optional supplements -
  • L-theanine - Take as needed to relieve anxiety
  • Black pepper essential oil - Inhale using an aromatherapy diffuser for 2 minutes to relieve nicotine cravings. Use as needed.
  • Betaine HCI - This supplement can help reduce the risk of lung cancer caused by smoking.
  • Glucose pills - Nicotine addicts may find glucose pills to be helpful in reducing cravings.
  • Lobelia - Take as needed. This plant can produce similar effects in the body as nicotine, but its activity in the body is different.
  DO NOT COMBINE 5-HTP OR ST. JOHN’S WORT WITH HALLUCINOGENS, ANTIDEPRESSANT MEDICATIONS, METHAMPHETAMINES, OR OTHER PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS OR STREET DRUGS. Combining these supplements with certain drugs (specifically SSRI medications, MAOI’s or amphetamine drugs) can lead to Serotonin Syndrome. Wait at least 2 weeks after taking one of these drugs/medications before taking these supplements. If you feel like you may relapse, wait to take these supplements until you feel relatively confident about your control over your addiction.
