Pau d’Arco tea is an essential treatment for any kind of yeast infections. Many women are familiar with vaginal yeast infections, but systemic yeast infections and yeast infections present in the digestive system are also common. Make sure to take breaks from drinking pau d’arco. Some studies show that long term use may have negative effects on the liver and kidneys, so to prevent possible negative effects, take some time off from the tea sometimes to give your body a chance to recalibrate.
NOTE: Individuals who have blood clotting problems or who are currently taking blood thinning medications should not use pau d’arco.
