L-tryptophan is a naturally occurring amino acid that is commonly found in warmed milk and turkey (both of which are known for making people feel sleepy, due to this particular amino acid). This supplement supplies concentrated L-tryptophan to support healthy sleep and wakefulness during the day. L-tryptophan is also a serotonin precursor, so it can improve mood and one’s overall sense of well-being too. L-tryptophan can:

Though it’s possible to take up to 30g of L-tryptophan to treat insomnia, most people take between 1500-5000mg. Start by taking 1500mg about 1 hour before bedtime. If you need more, take 3000mg.
