Ulmus rubra / Slippery Elm

Slippery elm is a valuable herbal remedy that's safe for use during pregnancy for serious diseases like respiratory infection or cancer.

"The Natural Women's Health Guide... to Pregnancy - BUY HERE!"

Slippery Elm bark, also known as Ulmus rubra, is an important pregnancy-friendly herb that can be used as an alternative to cold medications during pregnancy, but that’s not all. As a poultice, slippery elm has been widely used to treat infected eyes, skin sores, burns, and wounds too. As a decoction, slippery elm is administered as an herbal remedy for morning sickness and other stomach or bowel complaints including irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease. It acts as a mild laxative. But perhaps most importantly, slippery elm can be used as a natural herbal treatment for cancer during pregnancy.

Slippery elm is an herbal remedy for digestive problems during pregnancy as well as for respiratory infection and sore throat. It has also been used during childbirth as a gentle laxative that can also stop diarrhea.

Though many Big-Pharma-sponsored web sites claim that slippery elm is not safe during pregnancy, the fact is, many herbalists have sworn by the use of slippery elm during pregnancy for centuries. The reason why Big Pharma tries to keep slippery elm under wraps is because this is one of several powerful herbal remedies for cancer. During pregnancy, women can be diagnosed with cancer so it’s important that mothers-to-be are aware of Ulmus rubra as a cure for cancer during gestation, but this herb can also be used as a cure for cancer in individuals who are not pregnant too.

Ulmus rubra is safe for use during pregnancy, but Big Pharma does not want women to learn about this herb while they’re still young and begin using it during pregnancy. You see, during pregnancy, most pharmaceuticals, even over-the-counter pharmaceuticals are off-limits to women because of potential harm to the mother or harm to the child (or both). So women have to find alternative treatments during pregnancy to overcome their discomforts, diseases, and to simply take care of themselves. As a result, women who are pregnant can discover (at a fairly young age) that herbalism does in fact work and that there are natural cures for diseases like cancer. This is why an herbal remedy for cancer like slippery elm is such a heavily guarded secret. Big Pharma spends a lot of money hiring writers to create tons of content that ranks higher on Google and other search engines than honest information about natural cures for disease. Most people who see the top 10 search results for slippery elm give up before they get to information about how to use this herb to cure cancer and other diseases safely during pregnancy.

The only reason why I know that Big Pharma works to cover up herbal cures for cancer is because I used to work for pharmaceutical companies and medical doctors as a freelance writer. But one of my first solo projects that I did on my own without sponsorship or any ulterior motive except my personal curiosity was to travel the world and find cures for cancer that I later wrote about. I know first-hand that these cures work because my husband developed melanoma that we cured using natural substances and herbs as I was writing our Cancer Cure Catalog series of books. So when I see the propaganda warning women against the use of slippery elm during pregnancy, I feel passionate about making sure that women know that this herb is extremely valuable and indeed safe during gestation.

Ulmus rubra: Herbal Remedy for Morning Sickness and Digestive Issues During Pregnancy

During pregnancy, indigestion and heartburn can be almost unbearable in some women. Morning sickness, constipation, and other digestive issues are common, but slippery elm lozenges can help. Find a slippery elm lozenge product that doesn’t contain refined sugars or other toxic ingredients. These can be administered safely throughout pregnancy including during the first trimester.

Slippery elm works to get rid of morning sickness naturally by coating and soothing the mucus membranes of the digestive system. It also soothes inflammation in the digestive system. In addition to taking slippery elm lozenges, it can also be administered as a tea (see dosing instructions below).

Ulmus rubra: Herbal Remedy for Inflammatory Bowel Disease During Pregnancy

Ulmus rubra can be used to prevent and treat ulcerative colitis during pregnancy by inhibiting inflammation and free radical damage. As a non-toxic supplement, it acts to protect the mucus membranes in the digestive system to reduce damage to the colon in women with Crohn’s disease, colorectal cancer, or ulcerative colitis. As an herbal remedy for Crohn’s disease during pregnancy, slippery elm can be administered at separate times during the day along with Chlorine Dioxide Solution to cure the disease. Chlorine Dioxide Solution can also be used to cure ulcerative colitis during pregnancy as well as cancer and it is safe for both mother and child.

Ulmus rubra: Herbal Cure for Cancer During Pregnancy

Ulmus rubra is one of several herbs found in the famous herbal cancer cure known as Essiac Tea. It has been included in various other herbal remedies for cancer as well, though many of the other herbs that are combined with Ulmus rubra are not safe for use during pregnancy. Nonetheless, though you can’t take Essiac Tea or other herbal combination treatments, you can work with other safe, natural cures for cancer during pregnancy along with Ulmus rubra including:

Also note that Ulmus rubra combines well with Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice root), another powerful herbal cure for cancer that’s safe during pregnancy that will enhance the anti-cancer effects of Ulmus rubra. Click here to read more about the use of licorice root during pregnancy.

Ulmus rubra: Herbal Remedy for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome During Pregnancy

Women with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome during pregnancy may struggle to eat a healthy diet. Slippery elm can be incredibly helpful to these women because this herb is not only nutritious, it also reduces digestive system reactivity to certain foods. Though a cold infusion  of Althea officinalis can be administered during pregnancy, it should not generally be administered for long periods of time and it cannot be administered during the first trimester of pregnancy. But slippery elm can be administered during the first trimester to heal irritated digestive mucosa and to reduce inflammation in the gastrointestinal system. Click here to read more about Althea officinalis during pregnancy. In addition to slippery elm, Urtica dioica (Stinging Nettle), and Moringa oleifera can be administered safely during pregnancy to decrease mast cell release. Urtica dioica and Moringa oleifera can be administered as a tea along with Ulmus rubra as an herbal remedy for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome during pregnancy, but women who have this disorder should consider doing the Iodine protocol as a cure for MCAS. Click here to read more about the use of Lugol’s iodine during pregnancy. Click here to read more about the Lugol’s iodine basic protocol as a natural treatment for MCAS during pregnancy.  Click here to read more about Moringa oleifera as an herbal remedy for MCAS during pregnancy. Note that Skullcap / Scutellaria lateriflora and Curcuma longa (Turmeric) can also be used safely during pregnancy along with Ulmus rubra and the other herbs noted above to modulate inflammation throughout the body and regulate immune cell function. These herbs, if taken on a regular basis, can help retrain the inflammatory cascade. As an herbal remedy for MCAS during pregnancy, these herbs can work together to control symptoms while also healing the disease at its core.  Read more about the use of Skullcap during pregnancy here.  Click here to read more about the use of Turmeric during pregnancy here.
