Colon Hydrotherapy as a Treatment for Cancer
Detailed Introduction
Colon hydrotherapy is used to cleanse the colon of toxins and gas, as well as of accumulated fecal matter, mucus deposits, and biofilm that may be present due to pathogenic infections. It is a gentle treatment that’s more effective than enemas because the cleansing protocol used in colon hydrotherapy is intended to treat the whole colon rather than just a section of it. Colonic hydrotherapy is a helper-therapy for cancer patients and is typically used in conjunction with other treatment options (including coffee enemas). It helps cancer patients detoxify as cancer cells are dying, which can speed up the healing process and diminish pain due to cancer [1].Ideally, cancer patients should seek out both colon hydrotherapy once monthly and also do organic coffee enemas 3 times per day. Safety and Effectiveness
Colonic hydrotherapy has been used since 1500 B.C. to enhance health. This procedure can be more effective than an enema because colon hydrotherapy cleanses the entire colon, not just the descending colon [1][3]. While organic coffee enemas performed 3 times per day have similar effects on cleansing the colon over a longer time period, colon hydrotherapy can jumpstart the process of detoxification and should be used along with organic coffee enemas for best results. Colon hydrotherapy can relieve the following symptoms in patients with cancer and other serious health problems:- Appetite changes

- Low energy
- Sluggishness/lethargy

How Colon Hydrotherapy Is Administered
Colon hydrotherapy is performed using sterile, single-use equipment. A gentle flow of water is introduced into the large intestine via the rectum. Although the amount of water varies depending on the patient, up to 16 gallons of water can be used during one colonic hydrotherapy session. Often, colon hydrotherapists will perform a light external massage over the abdomen to promote the removal of toxins from the colon [1][3].Colon hydrotherapy is most often available in boutique health clinics that specialize in this type of treatment. However, some other alternative health clinics may offer colonics in addition to other treatments or services like IV therapies, ozone therapy, or juicing, to name a few.

Possible Negative Effects
Side Effects
Side effects of colon hydrotherapy could include:- Vomiting, nausea, stomach cramping
- Dizziness [4]
In our experience, colon hydrotherapy is very safe and almost essential for a natural recovery from cancer. Very few people experience any kind of negative side effect from this form of treatment. Most people don’t experience negative side effects from colon hydrotherapy unless their colon is really toxic. If a detoxification / Herxheimer reaction occurs after colon hydrotherapy (which could include fever, malaise, achiness, etc.), the symptoms tend to go away within about 5 days or less and afterwards, patients will feel noticeably better. Patients should continue to do coffee enemas at home during this time to remove toxins as quickly as possible from the body so as to lessen symptoms of detox.
Contraindications
Patients with the following health conditions may be more at risk for experiencing side effects:- Recent bowel surgery
- Diverticulitis
- Severe hemorrhoids
- Rectal tumors or tumors in the colon
- Ulcerative colitis
- Crohn’s disease
- Cardiovascular issues or heart disease
- Kidney disease [4]
